Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. Welcomes Timothy D. Edwards To The Firm

Timothy EdwardsMatthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. is pleased to welcome Timothy D. Edwards as senior counsel to the firm’s Wisconsin office. Tim brings with him a wealth of insurance and complex litigation experience to MWL’s subrogation arsenal. Tim has over three decades of experience and is an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison. Tim obtained his J.D. from Wayne State University in Michigan and a Master’s in Law (LLM) from the University of Missouri Law School. He then went on to obtain his Senior Juris Doctorate (SJD) Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Tim is licensed in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida, and has extensive experience in State and Federal court litigation and appeals, including the preparation of pleadings, dispositive motions, and complex electronic discovery plans. He has served as lead counsel in complex federal class action lawsuits and has been primarily responsible for discovery and special concerns regarding electronically stored information. Tim brings a unique set of skills to MWL as he is certified as an E-Discovery Specialist by ACEDS, a division of The BARBRI Group, a global legal education company that provides legal and professional development training and education to students, lawyers and other legal professionals. He is a member of the 7th Circuit Pilot Program in e-discovery and has served as e-discovery liaison in many complex, class action cases.

Most recently, Tim was the owner of Edwards Law Group in Madison, and served Of Counsel to Lawhon Law, P.A. in Naples, Florida. For many years, he was an equity partner with Axley Brynelson, LLP in Madison, where he served both as Chair of the Document Retention and E-Discovery Committee and Counselor to the Firm. He also previously was a partner in the Prescott, Arizona law firm of Ray, Adair, & Edwards.

When Tim is not busy with the practice of law, he is an avid fisherman and enjoys writing fiction and spending time with his family. We look forward to the vast amount of experience and insight Tim brings to the firm, and eagerly welcome him to our growing family of subrogation professionals here at MWL.
