Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. (“MWL”) is pleased to welcome Ana Zabalgoitia, a new senior litigation associate, to the firm’s Austin branch office. Ana graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. She is licensed in Texas and New Mexico and has been litigating heavily in both states since 2017. Ana will be a welcome addition to the growing litigation team in our Austin branch.
Ana will primarily be handling insurance defense cases along with subrogation matters involving property and casualty, workers’ compensation, and automobile subrogation cases throughout Texas and New Mexico. Her insurance defense experience has taught her preparation is the key to success in the courtroom and the jury doesn’t know the strength of the plaintiff’s case until they’ve heard the defense.
Ana is the middle of three girls, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her nieces and family, listening to hours of podcasts and audiobooks, and exploring new hiking trails.
Ana brings needed support to one of the busiest branch offices within the MWL family. We look forward to the work ethic and litigation experience she brings to the firm, and eagerly welcome her to our growing family of insurance litigation professionals here at MWL.
