Michigan's No-Fault SchemeAttorneys Stephen Smith and Jacob Simon will be presenting a complimentary one-hour live webinar on A Riddle, Wrapped in a Mystery, Inside an Enigma: Changes to Michigan’s No-Fault Scheme on July 28, 2020 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. (Central).

The Michigan Legislature passed no-fault auto insurance laws in 1973 and has been holding on to this dysfunctional approach to auto insurance ever since. On May 20, 2019, Michigan took steps toward ridding itself of its confusing no-fault system. It eliminated core features of the no-fault law it had in place for nearly 50 years, including doing away with Michigan’s lifetime, unlimited no-fault medical expenses, and giving drivers the choice of opting out of the No-fault Act altogether. This presentation will discuss the recent changes to Michigan’s no-fault scheme and provide a roadmap to recovery on Michigan claims. This webinar will benefit claims professionals in all levels of experience.
