We are pleased to announce that this month our New Orleans branch office celebrated its five year anniversary with our firm. The Louisiana office is overseen by MWL partner, Jim Busenlener. Jim is a 1993 graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and is licensed to practice in Louisiana, Texas, and Pennsylvania. For many years, Jim was one of MWL’s local subrogation counsel in Louisiana. Ironically, Jim was originally hired by and was an associate handling subrogation litigation with Gary Wickert in Houston, Texas in 1995. Jim later returned to Louisiana where he was a partner with a downtown New Orleans insurance defense and coverage litigation firm prior to joining MWL. Jim has nearly three decades of experience representing insurers in subrogation, coverage, professional liability, and defense litigation, and also practices in the areas of maritime and commercial litigation. Jim is joined by associates Sara Huffman and Lauren Davis, paralegal Katy Ohlsson, and legal assistant Nancy Gray.
