Biography
Karen C. Hauser is a Senior Associate Attorney in our Hartford, Wisconsin, office, where she focuses on representing insurers and self-insured entities in subrogation matters nationwide. With over two decades of experience in insurance defense, litigation, and claims management, Karen brings a strong command of both courtroom advocacy and strategic recovery efforts to her role at Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. Karen’s legal background spans multiple roles, including serving as an insurance defense attorney in private practice, a prosecutor, and a property damage adjuster.
Licensed in Wisconsin and a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Karen plays an integral role in MWL’s litigation team, bringing deep insight and dependable execution to each stage of the recovery process.
Fun Fact
In her free time, Karen loves traveling with her husband, hiking with her dog, and reading alongside her cat. She’s an avid zythophile, a self-proclaimed plant hoarder, and a passionate Green Bay Packers fan.
