Biography
Alex S. Dunn, Jr. is an Attorney in our NOLA office, where he represents insurers and self-insured entities in subrogation matters nationwide. Licensed in both Texas and Louisiana, Alex brings a multifaceted legal background to Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C., with extensive experience in insurance defense, construction litigation, real estate law, and complex multiparty disputes.
A graduate of Southern University Law Center and Gustavus Adolphus College, Alex has spent over a decade handling litigation and transactional matters in both private practice and in-house counsel roles. He has managed large caseloads involving property and casualty claims, product liability, bad faith litigation, municipal law, and workplace incidents. His experience spans all phases of litigation—from discovery and motion practice to mediation and trial—making him a versatile and strategic advocate for MWL’s subrogation clients.
Alex’s practical, solutions-driven approach is supported by a strong command of contract law, insurance principles, and regulatory compliance. He is a collaborative partner to carriers navigating recovery opportunities and a valuable member of MWL’s national litigation team.
