Biography

Based in the Hartford, WI office, Emily serves as the Lead Subrogation Paralegal, where she plays a key role in managing a broad spectrum of subrogation claims. In addition to her casework, she oversees the firm’s team of paralegals and claims specialists, ensuring smooth operations and consistent excellence across the board.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Marian University in 2010 and launched her legal career the following year in Cheyenne, Wyoming. There, she gained diverse experience in public utilities, eminent domain, foreclosures, and both civil and criminal matters. Since joining MWL in 2017 as a legal assistant, Emily has steadily advanced through the ranks, bringing dedication, leadership, and a deep knowledge of subrogation to her current role.

A highlight from Emily’s career at MWL is when she co-presented a webinar (Which WC Benefits Can Be Recovered) with Gary Wickert in 2021.

Outside the office, Emily enjoys spending quality time with her family, diving into home improvement projects, tending to her garden, and crafting her own wine, where her attention to detail and love of a good challenge shine just as brightly as they do in her legal work.
