Biography
Mike A. Plaza is the IT Manager of Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. Working out of the Hartford, WI office, he manages all IT related matters.
In 2007, Mike received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer End User Technologies and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UW Whitewater. He has been working with computers and technology since the age of 15. He worked for the IT Help Desk and website management for Facilities Planning & Management and for the University IT Help Desk for the staff and students at UW Whitewater. After college, Mike worked in a variety of IT roles – computer operator, computer technician, database administrator, and client resource engineer. He now has over 25 years of experience in IT.
Mike joined the MWL team in 2023. Since then, he has implemented and maintained the hardware and software systems. He manages network security to protect sensitive data, provides technical recommendations, support, and guidance to legal professionals, and leads projects to upgrade systems and new technology integrations. Mike also collaborates with others to align IT strategies with firm goals, stays focused on optimizing employee efficiency while safeguarding data integrity and manages vendor relationships to further firm goals while meeting firm objectives.
Fun Fact
In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with family. He is a baseball coach for his son and daughter in the summer, and he also enjoys traveling, fishing, and hunting in the fall.
