Biography
Jeff Cottam is a Claims Specialist in our Hartford, Wisconsin office, where he brings more than 14 years of experience in the criminal justice field at the federal, state, and local levels. He applies his investigative skill set and sharp analytical background to support subrogation efforts and effectively manage claims across a variety of loss types.
Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee before graduating summa cum laude with a Master of Criminal Justice from the University of Mississippi. His extensive background in law enforcement and justice administration provides him with a unique perspective on liability, documentation, and claim evaluation, making him a valuable asset to our recovery team.
Fun Fact
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, whether skiing, surfing, hiking, or camping, and values time with his family. He’s also an avid reader.
Jeff is known among friends and family for his underrated skills, such as his knack for efficiently packing cars for road trips, selecting the perfect Tupperware for leftovers, and expertly wrapping cords—though he jokes those talents often go underappreciated.
