Bree MadisonMatthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C. (“MWL”) is pleased to welcome seasoned trial attorney Bree Madison to the firm as a senior litigating associate. Bree will be working in our Hartford, Wisconsin office and brings with her a wealth of litigation and insurance claims experience. After eight years of litigating with one of Wisconsin’s premier litigation firms, Bree joined Allstate Insurance Group and worked as a senior trial attorney, litigating a large docket of property/casualty and subrogation cases. In 2017, she joined the Milwaukee law firm of Conway & Josetti, LLC, representing insurance companies and litigating bad faith, coverage dispute, and E & O cases. Most recently, Bree served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for Brown County.

Bree graduated from Marquette University Law School, where she was a member of the pro bono honors society. She studied in Beijing, China, as a 1L, and participated in Marquette’s “Alternative Spring Break” program as a 2L, traveling to New Orleans to provide legal services to victims of Hurricane Katrina. She earned her undergraduate degree from Washington State University.

Bree is a lifelong horseback rider, and in 2013 earned championship ribbons from the Wisconsin Hunter Jumper Association in the Adult Amateur Hunter and Equitation divisions. She spends as much of her free time as possible with Jo, her retired Thoroughbred racehorse. Bree is also a dedicated servant to Edgar, a European Boxer dog, and Leonard, a loud orange cat.

Bree will be handling complex property and casualty subrogation along with workers’ compensation and automobile subrogation cases in Wisconsin and across the country. We look forward to the vast amount of experience and insight she brings to the firm, and eagerly welcome her to our Hartford, Wisconsin office. Bree’s experience includes preparation and trial of cases in both state and federal court and her experience in large, complex property subrogation losses will provide welcome assistance to a burgeoning large loss property subrogation practice here at MWL. On behalf of the partners, associates, legal assistants, and support staff here at MWL, we would like to welcome Bree to the firm. We would also invite our clients and friends to introduce themselves to Bree, who can be reached at [email protected].
